Overview

This, the OpenOffice.org User’s Guide, attempts to provide answers to questions about working with OpenOffice.org. It is focused on OpenOffice.org 1.1.x releases but, it should be useful with 1.9 and 2.0 releases. Differences between 1.1.x and these later releases are boxed.

In addition, use of the OpenOffice.org Help facility is also covered Through Help, users can get detailed answers to all questions at any time by pressing (F1), opening the Help menu or clicking the Help buttons. More information on using OpenOffice.org Help can be found in Chapter 1, Working with OpenOffice.org.

The EndNote Library
An EndNote library is a collection of references, each containing the information required to create a bibliography. Additional information such as keywords, notes, and abstracts can also be stored in these references. This chapter provides an overview of the EndNote library, including instructions for opening and creating libraries, and navigating within a library.

Listed below are some important points about the EndNote library. Detailed information about each of these items follows.

• Each library can reach a record number limit of 32,767 or a maximum size of 32 MB (whichever comes first). Once a record number is assigned, it cannot be used again in that library. So, if you import 30,000 records, then delete all but 1000 of them, you cannot enter even 3000 more records into that particular library.

Conversion tracking involves placing a cookie on a user’s computer when he/she clicks on an ad. Then, if the user clicks on your ad and reaches one of your conversion pages, the user’s browser sends the cookie to a Google server, and a small conversion tracking image is displayed on your site. When such a match is made, Google records a successful conversion for you. This information is presented within the Campaign Summary section of the “Campaign Management” tab in your AdWords account.

OVERVIEW
All you need to do to begin conversion tracking is place a few lines of code, referred to in this guide as a code snippet, into your website. As a prerequisite, you or someone in your organization must have a working knowledge of HTML and/or web tools in order to successfully place the conversion tracking code snippet. You’ll also need to have access to your website’s
code and your company’s Google AdWords account.
