Prerequisites

• fair knowledge of Java (or at least object oriented programming concepts in another language)
• knowledge of HTML
• basics of web applications (preferably J2EE)
• Fair knowledge of SQL (SELECT, stored procedures, triggers)
• knowledge of source control (e.g. Subversion) is a plus

Minimum Laptop Requirements

• dual core processor
• 2Gb RAM
• Linux/Windows OS (MacOS is strongly advised against)
• installed latest community edition of Openbravo ERP (if not, a virtual appliance will be provided on the course) – Postgres database should be used since all materials and solutions are based on it.

01 – Welcome and Introduction
This first session will welcome you to the course and give you an overview and the schedule of the following weeks topics.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Conversion tracking involves placing a cookie on a user’s computer when he/she clicks on an ad. Then, if the user clicks on your ad and reaches one of your conversion pages, the user’s browser sends the cookie to a Google server, and a small conversion tracking image is displayed on your site. When such a match is made, Google records a successful conversion for you. This information is presented within the Campaign Summary section of the “Campaign Management” tab in your AdWords account.

OVERVIEW
All you need to do to begin conversion tracking is place a few lines of code, referred to in this guide as a code snippet, into your website. As a prerequisite, you or someone in your organization must have a working knowledge of HTML and/or web tools in order to successfully place the conversion tracking code snippet. You’ll also need to have access to your website’s
code and your company’s Google AdWords account.

Step 1: Connect to a TV

Video output on the PS3 system
The PS3TM system can output two types of resolution: HD and SD. Refer to the instruction manual for the TV in use to check which video mode is supported.

Video output cable types
The resolution displayed on the TV varies depending on the input connectors on the TV and the type of cable in use. Select a cable to match the TV in use.

Connection methods

1. Connecting with other types of cables. Connect cables other than the HDMI Cable to the AV MULTI OUT connector on the system.
2. Connecting to a TV using an HDMI Cable. Connect the system to the TV using an HDMI Cable (sold separately). An HDMI Cable can output both video and audio and enables you to enjoy digital-quality video and audio with minimal loss of picture quality.

Network access

The following is a guide to getting started with your Compaq iPaq PDA. It is designed to supplement the Getting Started guide that comes with the iPaq, and focuses mainly on connecting the iPaq to a PC.

Connecting the PDA to a PC allows you to synchronize data between the two devices. You can synchronize such things as your calendar, your address book, and even Microsoft Word or Excel files between your PDA and your PC. Synchronizing these items keeps the information up-to-date on both devices, so that any new data you enter on one device will automatically show up on the other device as well.
